Art for Everyday

The appreciation of clothing as art in its own right, is radically different to the general attitudes held in society toward dress. It is a higher appreciation, of a return to simplicity.

What if we slowed down?

And stopped listening to the voice which tells us we need to hurry up, to get somewhere.

What if we questioned the force in ourselves that continually drives us to consume, and over consume? Does this cycle really bring happiness and fulfilment?

What if we could appreciate pieces of clothing as art, where makers took the time to connect with each piece before it was passed onto its owner?

Sound like a strange concept?

At soltyslabel, cloth is considered as an art form. A wearable one.

When cloth comes into contact with the body, it changes from two dimensional form into a three dimensional, dynamic and ephemeral piece of art. When the body moves, it moves.

From this perspective, here is where the art lies.

Soltyslabel operates as a standing change in the world. We designed a ‘perfect world’ business, and decided to operate as if we already lived in that world. With the hope that others would notice this change and become inspired to make the changes they might not have done alone.

Together we can create a healthy and sustainable future.

What if the entire way we bought and sold from each other was different?

Transactions and interactions could be joyful and expansive. In spending more on a product that is considered and thoughtfully made, we pass on direct support to the people who facilitate it. At soltyslabel, consultations are made to be connective experiences. Where the client and maker can come together to produce a product that the client is fully satisfied with.

The client can walk away with a product which sits in alignment with their intentions, and a full heart as a result of joyful connection with others in a creative environment.

This way of operating is the future. Slow fashion is the future.
